Madison started out her macabre march as the daughter of Persephone and Hades during the changeover from analog to digital. She grew up loving all things horrific, fantastic and whimsical. A life long insomniac, she learned a lot from late night horror hosts and read everything she could get her hands on when she should have been asleep. Six months out of the year she enjoyed the world of the living and the other half was spent exploring the underworld. She decided at 6 she would be a mad scientist just like so many of her heroes–to Hades objections. She also decided she would marry Dracula, but only if he asked nicely. Hades remained dubious, but Persephone didn’t think they had anything to worry about. Dracula she insisted never asks for anything.
Both parents made sure that young Madison had access to the best of both worlds. Writers like Dr. Suess, Hermes, Mary Shelly, R.L. Stine, C.S. Lewis, Apollo, Bram Stoker, J.K. Rowling, Philip Pullman, Morpheus, Arthur Conan Doyle, Neil Gaiman, Anne Rice, Athena and Stephen King nurtured her young mind with blood, whimsy and magic. She loved the visual media of cartoons, documentaries, films, anime and more.
In her teenage years she branched out into music of all kinds and genres–except country music–and discovered a world that was as magical as the visual and written worlds. When she was 13 years old she decided she wanted to be a writer & artist with a production company where she could bring all her dreams into the real world. She spent every spare moment creating art, writing and more. At first, she scribbled on scraps of paper she found everywhere. Eventually, an ancient laptop from Persephone served as one of her earliest creation banks and things only grew from there.
Once she got to college it was time to choose the path she wanted to take for real. Since they don’t give out degrees for universe building (though both of her parents protested this with Zeus), she decided to go with English. Many pens, papers and projects later she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in English.
From her riverboat home on Styx (you can only live in the same house as your parents for so long), she employs her degree telecommuting to the world of the living. In her free time, she works toward her dream of creating all the universes she imagines. An everything artist, she creates writing, visual art, music, videos, fashion and more.
